A hale on the fairway at Kohanaiki, designed and built as one contract and handed over furnished and landscaped, with a pool terrace that reads as a single plane from the living pavilion to the horizon.

On the fairway
The house sits at the edge of the golf course at Kohanaiki, with the fairway running out beyond the wall to the palms and the water. The roofs are dark standing-seam metal in low hips and the walls are white, so the house sits quietly in the landscape rather than on top of it. Outside, the covered living and dining room, the grill, the pool and the lawn all share one level.
The inside
The walls are lined in vertical slatted paneling, and the mirrors hang from the ceilings on custom mounts rather than from the wall. A large conditioned wine cellar sits at the core of the house. The front door is a single leaf on a smart pivot hinge. Off the bedrooms, outdoor showers and a bath open to the sky inside walls of lava rock. The whole house was furnished by Restoration Hardware and fully landscaped before the owners arrived.
